It’s been a hellish month and so I’ve decided to make a list of upcoming stuff that I’m excited about to make me feel better. All of the things listed below will be enjoyed (or hated) by me as soon as this summer semester is over which is in one week. One week. Then I am free again. So let’s begin.
This would be the new Sci-Fi epic from James Cameron. I was not really looking in to this until I read some coverage of it’s panel from the SDCC this week and am now intrigued. This might be one of those movies that I shell out the dough to see it at IMAX. All I know of it so far, is that there are aliens. And they look cool. All I need.
Number Six is back, but more importantly, so is Number Two. AMC is remaking Patrick McGoohan’s classic scifi series The Prisoner and from what I’ve seen from the preview clip it looks gorgeous. It seems they decided to keep that 60’s style with just a hint of modern infusion. I’m not sure about the storyline yet but I am excited that Ian McKellen is Number Two. Ironically, Jesus is Number Six.
Let me see if I can adequately express how I feel about this. OhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygod. Yeah. From all accounts of those who were lucky enough to see the preview trailer at SDCC this is going to be amazing. I am basing all of my excitement off of the image for the new light bikes.
Yeah. After seeing this and knowing that it will be shown in IMAX 3D…there simply aren’t words. And my excitement explodes. My only sadness it that I have to wait until 2011 for this to be shown. But I can wait. Oh, Tron Legacy I will wait. In case you were worried, Jeff Bridges is in it. Jeff Bridges in 3D…in Tron…Squee.
Blood, sand, Lucy Lawless, Ancient Rome, well toned half-naked men, sex, John Hannah, sex, half naked men, blood, fighting, intrigue, sex, and half naked men. In oil. Fighting. Nuff said.
I’m a sucker for bad disaster movies. This movie shall make me laugh and point and, for good measure, stars John Cusack. Sold.
That’s it for now since it’s 2:30 in the morning I have to go to work tomorrow but as soon as I read more updates from the Comic Con I shall continue my “Things I Am Excited About” post.
